Finally after all these months of painting, sketching and yes repainting I am moving forward. I have one painting left that I need to spend a little more time with but I am beginning the fun of finally seeing everything together. Now I am color correcting and tweaking illustrations. We are very close to send the book to press! I cannot wait.

Off we go! I am so excited and pleased to be writing this to you right now. After months of work, writing, planning and all kinds of amazing things the project is live. I am asking for funds so I can print 1,000 hardcover books 11 x 9 inches with dustjacket. I am using traditional offset printing so you can enjoy the wonderful illustrations I have painted for you.
There are other costs as well photography, scanning and proofs, ISBN, barcodes, storage and shipping the books to me for fulfillment.
To pay for this adventure I asking for your help. In return I am offering you very unique rewards that you will not find anywhere else - many of them made by me to you. Every book sold through kickstarter will be signed by Marty, Otto and myself. This project will only last 30 days

Below is a sneak peek of one of the illustrations. I will be posting more images as we get closer to going live.
I am happy to say that I've got only a couple pencil drawings left. There will be 40 pages to this book and every page is illustrated. A couple weeks of color studies and then I begin the final illustrations. Each painting is 16.5" x 13" and will be mixed media. I have the entire month of August set aside to complete the final artwork.
Meantime I am working on a new video for my Kickstarter campaign.
Words cannot express my happiness to receive a invitation to the third Spectrum Exhibition. chosen from the last four editions it is an honor indeed. It is being held at the Society of Illustrators in Manhattan September 3 through October 18. Over 150 pieces on display. For me the Society of Illustrators is Holy ground and I cannot wait to be there.
Opening reception will be held on Friday, September 12th here at The
Museum of American Illustration.
I am very pleased to announce that we are exhibiting Marty and Otto and Joyride at the Boca Raton Downtown Regional Library July- August.
A look into the process of creating a children's storybook with over two rooms filled with 40 sketches, thumbnails, drawings, concept art, paintings and the whimsical sculpture that inspired it all. I have also created a display showing the maquettes of Marty and Otto as well as some of the actual pages from the upcoming book. And best of all it's FREE.
